First Day at Leap

I can't believe that it has been over a year since i last posted to this blog!
What can I say? I'm just not the blogging type! I think the main problem is that I don't think of my life as particularly interesting and it's not like I have a massive amount of spare time to use telling everyone and no one about my day.
But anyway, enough of the excuses: time to get down to business...
The third year is here and this blog will now serve as logbook for EVERYTHING; that is, Negotiated Portfolio, Dissertation, the student newspaper and my work placement at Leap Media in St. Austell.

I arrived on the 0845 train in a rainstorm that seemed to follow me halfway across the county. Although I had already researched some basic elements of Leap's drive and focus, I was given some more relevant press releases and profiles done on or released by the company to get a feel of the company's voice.
Charlie (Guidal, Leap's marketing manager) then gave me a press release that she had been working on for a specific job that was coming to a conclusion and that would be required soon.
I have contacted the designer responsible for the work to get an idea from him what he was aiming for and how he felt the client would receive the work.

LEAP WEBSITE is at: http://www.leapmedia.co.uk/index04.php

Charlie has also asked me for a set of objectives that I would like to achieve in my time at Leap and what is required by the course.
